He was a frail kitten without a mother wobbling along a busy street in Makati when I decided after eight seconds that I might be able to take him with me. I was on my way home from work and walking towards the station. In retrospect I think that if he was not too near the road I would have acted differently - after all I did not like cats very much and did not know anything about caring for them. I took him home with me and tried my best to clean him, and gave him water. I was working full-time so the next morning I left him with what I had the previous day: rice, bread, and water. That night I found I got mites from him. I took him to the vet that weekend after feeding him cat food from a pet shop. The doctor gave him medicine but did not recommend any special diet because I already told him the poor guy was already eating kibble. He was skin and bones but was eating dry food to save his life. He was my little warrior tiger that I named after one of my brilliant students in a tutor school years ago.
