A thin orange feral was pointed out to me by my sister because of his paw wound. I approached slowly the next day with food and cleaned the wound using a wet cloth. The day after he rubbed against my legs and we became friends. At first he did not get on well with the dog Ben but after a while they respected each others' spaces. My family were against me taking a second cat (because I have allergic rhinitis), but it seemed Hobbes charmed them into being friends with him by being a good boy and not hurting anyone. He had a very strong personality especially when George came around, and he had a loud meow that I don't hear anymore (but that's another story). He is the primary reason why I decided it would be timely to move out and get a pet-friendly space - he helped me in a way I cannot articulate very well, and I wanted to repay him by taking him in to be an indoor cat.
